 What's New for the 2022 Nissan Sentra?

For the last several decades, the Nissan Sentra has been a solid option for shoppers in the Hopkinsville area and beyond. For 2022, the Sentra continues to have three trim options: the S, SV, and SR. For the 2022 Sentra, Nissan has introduced two new packages, which are the Midnight Edition and the All-Weather Edition. The Midnight Edition Package is exclusive to the top-of-the-line Sentra SR trim, and it comes with black exterior trim and badging as well as black 18-inch alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the All-Weather Package is available on the mid-level Sentra SV trim, and it provides heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, remote engine start functionality, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

All 2022 Sentra trims have the same four-cylinder engine offered during the 2021 model year. This 149-horsepower engine is paired with front-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission. The top two trims come with an upgraded braking system.

The 2022 Sentra is identical to the 2021 version throughout the exterior. This small car has Nissan's recognized, V-Motion grille, which includes a strong, metallic element that drops to the bottom of the nose. The headlights are slender, with LED enhancements and sharp points on both ends. The crisp air intakes also have a sharp quality. Based on the trim selected, the 2022 Sentra's exterior features may include a sunroof, a blacked-out appearance, up to 18-inch wheels, a spoiler, and heated side mirrors.

The 2022 Sentra is equally well-appointed as the 2021 model year inside the cabin and across its safety equipment. The base S trim continues to include a push-button start ignition, a 7-inch central display touchscreen, a four-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, forward and rear collision mitigation, a lane departure alert, pedestrian detection, and a blind-spot monitor. At higher trims, the Sentra may also be equipped with keyless entry, a more robust sound system, adaptive cruise control, a larger display screen, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a two-zone climate control system, remote engine start, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, leather seats with quilted stitching, NissanConnect with a wireless internet hotspot and a surround-view parking system.
